HD Ride 4 A Cure - Huntington Disease

The Huntington Society of Canada – Pease Country Chapter aspires to a world free from Huntington disease.
This year, an anonymous donor will match all donations up to $80,000.

You’re invited to the 15th Annual HD Ride 4A Cure!

Friday, August 23rd
Ross Mather Memorial Team Roping & Barrel Racing

HD RIDE on Saturday, August 24th.
Registration is open from 10:30am – Noon at the Teepee Creek Stampede Grounds - Enframe Barn
 

Participants can leave for the trail between 11 am - 12:30 pm for both the 10km route and 20km route
 

Participants doing the shorter route may want to leave later if they want to

Also an Extreme Run / Walk / Hike options

 

Take in the festivities "On the way home" at Sorkenville

Participants minimum pledge of $100. Includes lunch on the trail, Saturday evening supper and admission to the dance.

​2024 CHANGES:
They are excited to be returning to an evening supper, auction, and live music DANCE this year.

Majors Homestyle / Tractor Jacks will be serving up supper at 6pm at the Enframe TP Barn
 

For all HD Ride participants, your meal is covered.
GUESTS - Supper and Dance tickets are $30 each, kids $15 each

Dance Only tickets are $20 each and $10 for kids
 

7pm – Silent Auction, Live Auction, and Saddles and Pledge Prize. Winners will be announced and awarded

8:30pm – DANCE with live music provided by Eastbound 674

Huntington disease is a devastating degenerative brain disorder with no disease modifying treatment or cure. The symptoms are like having Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s and ALS in one disease.
One in every 7,000 Canadians has Huntington disease, and genetically, every child of someone with Huntington disease has a 50% chance of inheriting the disease.

Many scientists believe that when (not if, but when) a treatment or cure for HD is developed, it will likely cause a domino effect for other significant diseases like Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, ALS, and even Cancer and Stroke.

For the first time ever, human clinical trials are underway addressing the root cause of HD. It is a hopeful time and we invite you to join us!
