Here Comes Summer Celebration

The City of Grande Prairie has partnered with Aquatera Utilities Inc. to introduce a new event called Here Comes Summer to kick-off the opening of multiple City-run outdoor amenities this year!

Date: Saturday, June 3, 2023

Time: 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Location: Muskoseepi Park

Cost: Free

Event Activities:

• Aquatera Outdoor Pool season opening with free public swimming from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. (first-come, first-served) in two-hour time slots

• FREE community barbecue.

• Muskoseepi Park spray park season opening.

• Outdoor games.

• Roller skating demonstrations from S3 at the tennis courts.

• S3 Skate Day+ at the skate park.

Aquatera Outdoor Pool Here Comes Summer Schedule

The Aquatera Outdoor Pool is open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday, June 3 for the Here Comes Summer event in time slots for public swimming:

• 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

• 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

• 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.

• 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

• 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.

The outdoor pool will be cleared after each time slot to ensure more people can be accommodated throughout the day.

The Aquatera Outdoor Pool is drop-in only and it is recommended to come to the pool at the beginning of a new time slot as spaces are limited.
